Welcome – Spring is finally here! The March club ride held in Mesquite NV was an incredible
weekend. Day one we rode Logandale. We had 64 machines when we left the staging area
Friday, unfortunately 1 machine experienced a catastrophic breakdown shortly after the ride
began. We rode a small section of the sand dunes. Ventured over to marble canyon, had lunch
at the mines, and then adventured down the ladders. When we returned to the staging area,
we enjoyed a BBQ. Thank you to those members that helped recover the broken-down
machine. Everyone reported having a great time. We laughed and made new friends. We would
like to thank Bill Hemminger and his crew for leading our ride in Logandale.
The second day we rode out of Mesquite. We left our staging area with 59 machines. We rode
Elbow canyon and the surrounding area. We found a nice open meadow for our lunch break.
Unfortunately, our preplanned ride was cut short. The trail that we were supposed to ride was
missing. We know right, how does a trail goes missing? Well, it was a technical error when the
GPS track was created. I supposed we will need to go back and find it.
This month with the change in leadership, some unforeseen obstacles were overcome, the
board has worked hard to manage the changes without affecting our usual success. Thank you
to everyone for their support. As we continue to move forward there have been some changes
to the Club’s board. Please congratulate Danny Jaterka, he was selected to fill the role of Acting
Vice President for the remainder of this term. With Danny accepting this new role, please
welcome Cory Pidgeon, he was selected to fill the vacant Board Member position. Cory was
selected from the remaining (2022-2024) list of nominated board members. If you have
questions, please contact any member of the board.
May RIDE
For May the plan is to ride out of Kanab. Several members will be camping. There are hotels
nearby for those that require accommodations. All experienced riders know the trail conditions
can vary drastically, from dry to muddy and covered in snow. We should anticipate everything
and plan accordingly. If you need assistance or have questions, please contact one of your
board members. You can find staging and ride details on the website.
Please continue to RSVP in the events on the website for every ride and/or the BBQ. The first
option should be utilized if you are planning on attending the BBQ. We would like to remind
you that when you RSVP for the BBQ, it is for how many members are in your party. The people
count is critical to ensure that we have enough food for everyone at the BBQ (post ride). We
would also encourage you to bring a side dish to share and provide some variety to our BBQ’s.
We seem to have less people at the BBQ than what is always RSVP’s. If your plans change and
you’re not able to attend the BBQ, please contact any board member so we can adjust the food
count we purchase, and none gets wasted or thrown away. The second option is simply to RSVP
that you are planning on attending, this will be for machine count.
Please continue to watch the website for our Sponsor of the Month. The Sponsor of the Month
will be offering amazing deals for our Club Members. To take advantage of these deals you will
be required to show your membership card. If you have not received your card within 30 days
of payment for your registration, please contact the Club Secretary to obtain your card.
Ride for Life Committee
Happy April everyone
In case you didn’t see the Facebook post out ambassador Zion received his wish, and he was all
smiles. He is the biggest reason we do this ride. When you see a child going thru chemo and is
sick from the chemo, but he smiles that big because of all of you. That makes it all worth it no
matter what.
Registration is open but there are a few changes.
- The room rate this year is $99. Sorry new management won’t go lower.
- You will not get a room code until you have registered for the ride. Codes are different.
I have secured breakfast again like last year. So, if you have family members meeting you out in
Wendover and will be eating breakfast with us make sure to purchase their breakfast tickets
when you register.
We have secured a mother and daughter for the anthem and some cool guys to do the flag
ceremony.
We have a couple other cool things in the works for during the ride and Sunday at the raffle so
stay tuned for more details. Have a safe and Happy Easter.

Hello, all welcome to April not much going on in our side of the world except the web guys have
a new email address so we don’t have to use our own its utahatvwebguy@gmail.com If you buy
anything from the web store or send goofy RSVP’s (like 6 for BBQ and 2 for the ride) you will
receive a message from this address with questions to clarify your needs.

The May ride will be in Kanab. May 20-21, 2022. We were unable to secure discounted rates
for hotels. The best prices were found online. There are several options to choose from. There
are also several members that will be camping. It will be a great time for those that choose to
camp with us. If you need any help or have questions, please contact us.

Safety Committee
Hello everyone, this month we had a couple of mishaps on the ride. 1 in the sand,
which on its own wasn’t a bad deal to smoke a belt. But in doing so it also took out the
transmission. The bike was recovered and is being repaired. Thanks to all that helped get the
bike out.
2 was the issue of our people driving under the freeway overpasses. Mesquite is an ohv
friendly area, but if people continue to not follow the rules, that can change. So please
pay attention to the rules of the towns that we are visiting, we want to keep everyone safe and
keep our access in these communities.
Thank you

I was so fun to get to see so many members at our Mesquite rides. We loved riding in the sand
at Logandale and the beautiful scenery in the Arizona strip. Two fun filled days with no mishaps
or injuries. The weather was awesome, and we all had a wonderful time. The bar-b-que was a
big success, and everyone enjoyed the good food and socializing with friends.
I hope everyone is looking forward to our April ride in Fillmore. I should be a fun ride with great
friends and delicious food. Be sure to bring water, snacks, lunch and something to share at the
bar-b-que.
New members, reach out to the current club members so they can get to know you. Bring your
friends and come ride with us. We promise it will be memorable!
