Welcome – April was an exciting month for our Club. This month we held our monthly meeting
in person. It was great to see everyone that attended the meeting. For our monthly ride we
spent two days at the San Rafael Swell. The first day was an amazing day. We left the staging
area with 52 machines. We rode the Devils Racetrack and Fixit pass it was very fun, and
challenging. We want to take a moment and acknowledge that the spirit of the group once
again was fantastic. Although outside the comfort level of some, everyone reported having a
great time. We worked together to help those that were not comfortable, to navigate the trails.
It was obvious that those that had attended the Moab ride, acquired new skills and were more
comfortable in their machines. It is amazing to watch everyone progress and enjoy our sport.
We held our post ride BBQ. It was a lot of fun. A chance to share stories about the days
adventure and enjoy a hot meal with friends. We had some riders that traveled from Kentucky
to ride with us and one of our members Steve Russell. His southern brothers were a blast. They
had nothing but compliments for the ride and our group, and they plan to return for another
adventure with us. That says a lot about us and our club, if people are willing to travel that far
to ride with us. A big thank you to everyone that made them feel welcome.
Day two again, an amazing turn out. We left the staging area with 20 machines. For a Sunday
ride that was outstanding. Unfortunately, we had one catastrophic breakdown shortly after
leaving the staging area and one machine had to turn back. We rode Copper Globe Mine and
Lower Eagle Canyon. The trails were fun and some of the area was covered in rocks that
shimmered in the sunlight. We did have a second breakdown later in the day that required a lot of help.
We would like to thank everyone that helped to get the machine back to the staging
area. It was not an easy task however it took a lot of team work to get the machine over and
around obstacles on a tow rope. We understand that some of the riders were upset because
they had to be back for work. We apologize, but unfortunately no matter how well we plan a
ride there are always going to be unforeseen circumstances that arise from time to time.
Next month we will be riding the Monument Valley. Please look to the website for staging area
information. If you have not made your reservations, we encourage you to do so right away.
You can always cancel if you decide later not to attend. If a ride is changed for any reason, we
will provide as much notice as possible.
Please continue to RSVP in the events on the website for every ride. We would like to remind
you that when you RSVP, it is for how many members in your party. The people count is critical
to ensure that we have enough food for everyone at the BBQ (post ride). We would also
encourage you to bring a side dish to share and provide some variety to our BBQ’s.
With the COVID restrictions lifted we will be holding out monthly meeting in person. Please
plan on attending. The meeting will be held at Edge Motor Sports as usual. We look forward to
seeing everyone.
Please watch the website for our Sponsor of the Month. The Sponsor of the Month will be
offering amazing deals for our Club Members. To take advantage of these deals you will be
required to show your membership card. If you have not received your card, please contact the
Club Secretary to obtain your card.
Ride for Life Committee
Hey all,
Things are moving forward and coming together. We are still collecting Raffle stuff and grand
prize items. You can make your reservations and use the code RIDE21. If they tell you, they
can’t make reservations yet tell them to talk to Tammy.
If you can’t ride but would like to help, we are looking for volunteers to pull empty trailers and
help cook lunch and help set up for lunch and the raffle. Just contact us.

Not much from the Ride Committee this month. Our June ride is a day trip and requires no
accommodations. However, if you are in need of information because you may be traveling,
please feel free to contact any board member and we will do our best to assist you. Stay safe.
Safety Committee
Hi everyone Dan with the safety crew here. Hope everyone had a good time on the last ride to
the swell. We only had a couple issues, 1 machine died, and we could not figure it out, and we
had to tow it back to the staging area. And the other machine had some maintenance issues.
Please everyone take the needed time to check and maintain your machines. this includes
brakes, air cleaners, oil levels and changes. tire pressures, batteries and all bulbs. If you don’t
feel like you know how or can do this, please take it to a shop that can do it for you. You put
your life in trust of these machines!!
Thank you.
Recreation Committee
Hi there all, hope everybody had a great time at the Swell, so sorry I missed it. I have heard that
after the rides on both days it was too cool and/or windy to play any games, maybe on our next
2-day camping trip we can try again. Also, if you’re planning on going to our meet and greet
BBQ, please RSVP asap so we get an idea on how many will attend. One final question if
anybody in the club knows of a face painter that can help at this event, please have them
contact one of us. Thanks.
Mark, Kyle, and Alice.
Welcoming Committee
The Utah ATV Association never fails to deliver in the fun department! We had two great days
in the San Rafael Swell for the April Club Ride. New members and old members rode together
and made some great memories! Some of the new members commented they have never
ridden trails like this before and they loved it!
We want to welcome our newest members to the Club: Scott & Kim Head, Dave & Beth Finch,
Bill & Joan Buckner, Ron & Ellen Bracken, Darin & Linda Bradshaw, Scott Gibson and Deb Bone.
Everyone, please reach out to our new members and help them feel welcome! New members,
reach out to the current Club members so they can get to know you. Bring your friends and
come ride with us. We promise it will be memorable!
Merchandising Committee
Hello my friends. We were able to obtain Neck Gaiters. We unexpectedly sold out very quickly.
We have more in received more of the gray gaiters as they were the popular choice. We have
recently received some Club shirts, both short sleeve and long sleeve. We are hoping to have
flags and baseball hats in stock for our May ride. Please watch the website for details or our
table that will be set up at the monthly meeting and the BBQ. I would like to thank our
members; several have reached out to us with ideas of products they would purchase. With
their ideas we hope to offer new products soon. If any member has an idea of a product that
they would like us to look at, please contact Bill Bagshaw.
“Come Ride with Us”.
