Hello everyone. This month we have officer and board member voting starting Monday 11/09/2020. All 2020 paid members are encouraged to vote. We will have ballots at the meeting Monday and they will also be available on the Facebook page to print and mail in. For family memberships you get 2 votes (please fill out a ballot for each vote) and for single memberships you get 1 vote. Please fill out the ballot and return as soon as possible. We are asking for all ballots to be in no later than November 26th so we can have the results available for December. This will be the last club meeting of the year. Please try to attend if you can.
The board is still going over options to hold our annual Christmas party, which is when we would normally announce the next members of the board for next year. We will keep you all posted as we figure things out. If we are able to hold the event, dinner will be on a prepay basis. Menus and more information will be posted as soon as it’s available.
Also, we are still taking suggestions for monthly rides for 2021. Just a reminder, there is no ride scheduled for December. The new board will decide the rides for 2021 at the first board meeting in January.
Last year we did a SUB FOR SENIORS event in December which was a big success for us as well as the seniors we gave gifts to. It was a great time and seeing the smiles on their faces really warms your heart. Unfortunately, this year we will not be able to hold that event. Keeping the residents safe is top priority and we respect their wishes. Hopefully next year will be better and we can continue on with this wonderful event.
The November ride is in Moab 11/13-11/14. Friday will be Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners. Staging will be at the Hurrah Pass trailhead. Steve has decided to relocate Saturday’s ride so he will update the event very soon. Watch for details. For further info see the event on the FB page. Be unloaded and ready to ride by 10am!! Unless you are street legal you will need to trailer to both trailheads. Be sure to pack lunches and drinks for both days on the trails. On Saturday we will do the BBQ after the ride. Dress accordingly for the weather. The mayor in Moab is on a rampage and trying everything to limit what she can to the ATV/UTV community. Let’s not give her any reason to blame us for any of her anger.
If anyone has a topic or idea of something that you would like to have discussed at a club meeting please feel free to reach out to a board member. We would love to hear your suggestions and we’re always open for new ideas.
The new website is under construction and we’re hoping will be up and running by the end of the year. It’s already so much better than what we have and we’re so appreciative to the company that is helping us out. Please stay tuned as we anticipate a new beginning on the internet.
On our club Facebook page we have always strived to keep it atv/utv related. At times there have been posts made about personal property, vehicles or homes for sale or lost pets and the posts are quickly deleted by admins. Please don’t take it personally. It’s not that we don’t care or want to help, but if we allow these types of posts it will get out of hand and no longer be about the purpose of ATV/UTV enthusiast information. Also, only paid members are allowed to post ATV/UTV items for sale.
We hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. Have a great upcoming holiday season and we hope to see you at the meeting and out on the trails.
