Happy fall everyone. We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy and safe. Even though the weather is getting chilly, there are still open areas to go ride and enjoy the crisp air. We encourage you to still get out and ride and help out the tourist towns that have been hit hard this year.
Elections for officers and board members for 2021 are fast approaching. We are still accepting nominations for all areas. Please see a current board member if you’d like to nominate someone. Just a reminder that only paid members are eligible to vote. 1 vote per individual membership and 2 votes per family membership. Ballots will be available at the November club meeting and on line. Winners will be announced in December.
This year has been a challenge in several areas. Normally we would have already had our location for the annual club Christmas party chosen & reserved. However, this year is very different. The board is working on what options are available to us. We will keep you posted on the outcome.
This coming weekend is the October club ride on Oct. 16th & 17th. If you do not already have room reservations please know that the rooms we had set aside are all spoken for. You can try the lodge at Bullfrog Marina or call Ticaboo Lodge directly to see if they have any open rooms. On Friday we will be leaving the parking lot at Ticaboo Lodge at 8am & trailering to the staging area where we plan to be unloaded & ready to ride by 9am. The ride on Friday will be around 100 miles. Meeting time and place for Saturday’s ride will be announced friday. This year due to staffing at the local restaurants, Steve was unable to make arrangements for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The Offshore Marina & Grill will be open for dinner but we will be leaving for the staging area before they open for breakfast. Please plan on supplying your own breakfasts & lunches. Rooms at Ticaboo Lodge have mini fridges & microwaves. Also the Anasazi Grill at Bullfrog Marina is open for dinner until 9pm. The club will BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers one night after the ride. Please bring a side to share if you can. The weather is reportedly going to be mid to high 70’s so plan accordingly for that as well. Bring lunches and drinks for out on the trails.
November’s club ride in Moab will be the last ride for the year. Watch the Facebook page and website for updated information on that event as it gets closer.
