(December 2020)
We as a board, hope that this letter finds you in good health and spirits. As you may be aware, we
recently held our Moab ride. It was an amazing turn out. Unfortunately, COVID- 19 continues to be a
thorn in our sides. We were forced to cancel our BBQ. This was quite unfortunate because the BBQ is a
time to socialize with our friends. But even with having to sacrifice the BBQ, the ride was a great
success. The trails were amazing and those that attended, reported having a great time. Steve and the
crew ensured everything went smoothly. We look forward to our next ride.
The results of this year’s election have been tallied and the new Officers and Board members have been
identified. The results of the election were reported in the Facebook Live meeting held on Sunday
December 6 th . If you have not had a chance, please view the meeting posted on Facebook. The new
Officers and Board member will officially assume their roles in January. Please take the time to get to
know them as they are your voice concerning club decisions. Randy posted contact information for the
Officer’s and Board members on the Club’s Facebook page.
As you all know because of the COVID-19 we were forced to cancel our annual Christmas party. This is
truly disappointing as many of us look forward to this event each year. We were also forced to cancel
our attempts to participate in a Sub for Seniors held to benefit the senior citizens residing in an assisted
living facility. This again was heart wrenching as those that participated last year said the event was an
extremely humbling and a memorable experience. We will push to try and hold both events next year.
With the January meeting baring down on us it is that time again to think about next year’s riding
calendar. Please take the time to reach out to the Officer’s or Board members, with your thoughts on
riding locations. With all the input from you, the board will set the calendar. You can expect to see next
year’s ride calendar posted before the end of January. Please note that the ride calendar is subject to
change based on the weather, and or any other unforeseen obstacles (COVID-19 as an example). At this
time January’s ride is planned for the 16 th and we will be riding out at 5-mile pass. There will be an event
on the Club Facebook page with the details.
The new club web page is coming along, and it is almost ready to go live. With the hard work from
Randy and last year’s board, the web page looks amazing. The goal is to have it fully operational by the
end of this year. We hope that the new page, will be easy for you to view and navigate. Please watch for
a notification that the new web site is active.
As Steve continues to lead our Club into the future, we are hopeful that with the new board, we may see
some exciting changes. Exciting changes come from ideas. If you have any ideas for the Club whether it
is regarding ride locations, our charitable events, or anything in between, please contact a board
member. There is an old saying, “two brains are better than one”. This is our Club, and everyone’s ideas
will be welcomed with open ears.
Understanding that there are politically correct ways to say certain things. The following is in no way
intended to cause offense. We wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Feliz
Navidad, Happy Holidays, I am sure that there are more, but I do not know any. We truly wish you the
best. See you all next year.
