Hello everyone. We are definitely living in some different times right now. With the directives that have been put into place on us all IE only recreate in your own county, requesting us to stay home and stay safe, it’s making it hard for us to get out and enjoy our sport.
However, with this Covid19 pandemic it’s the safest & best thing we can do for our families and communities right now. The weather is so inviting, so if you live within a county that you can access riding trails and you choose to do that, please remember social distancing. With this being said, we as a board have had to make some tough decisions in the last month.
The BLM cancelled the Knolls cleanup service project for April 4th . It may be rescheduled for a later date. The March ride was cancelled when Moab shut down any recreation in their town to anyone not living there, the club meeting that would normally be held on April 13th and the April ride at Lookout Pass have had to be cancelled.
We hope everyone is understanding of this. It was the hardest decision to make. We will have to see how this pandemic goes and when the restrictions are gone to make the determination to go ahead at a later date. All future rides are only on hold for now. They will proceed as planned when this crisis has passed. We will keep everyone updated on our Facebook page, website utahatv.com, and by email as necessary so watch for updates.
However, the Ride For Life event planning is still going strong. That event is in August so hopefully this is all over long before then. April 29th is Make A Wish’s 40th anniversary, also known as World Wish Day. They have been granting wishes and enriching lives for such a long time. We are honored to be participants in their success.
The Board will still be holding our monthly meeting, only via conference call. Please feel free to contact any board member if you have any questions pertaining to club activities. We are always here for you. We are hopeful that this pandemic clears up quickly so we can carry on with the riding season and enjoying our great outdoors. We wish everyone a safe & healthy spring time as we get through these trying times. If anyone has paid their membership dues and hasn’t received your membership card, please reach out to Alisa Carlson. I tried not to miss any but just want to be sure. Thank you.
