Welcome – For our monthly ride we held our annual Ride for Life event. For those that are new
to the Club, this was our 37th annual ride. To our knowledge we are the longest running charity
ATV event in the state. On Saturday following our Open Ceremony, we rode from Grantsville to
Wendover in what some have said was perfect riding weather it was cool in the morning. And
later in the afternoon we had rain for the first time during this ride, in an unknown number of
years. The rain made the trail muddy and the temperatures very comfortable. We were lucky
and had only minor mechanical issues and a couple of machines required trailering to our
destination. Everyone reported having a great day.
On Sunday morning we held our annual raffle. There were several amazing prizes, and the
amount of money raised for our cause was incredible. Following the raffle, we began our return
trip from Wendover to Grantsville. The trail was wet from rain during the night. Our advance
riders informed us that our preplanned route had several areas that had washed out. And the
were many hazards. Our Safety crew immediately rerouted the ride seamlessly, so that our
riders would have a safe and enjoyable journey home.
This ride was an amazing success due to the hard work of the Ride for Life Committee, The
supporting Board and all our Club members. Our Charitable efforts impact and better the Lives
of so many children and their families. This was not accomplished by a single person; without
everyone’s efforts this event would not be a success. A huge shout out and thank you to
everyone that participated.
Next month we will be riding in Escalante. If you have not, please pay for and reserve your
catered meals if you are interested in the convenience. Refer to previous newsletters for
accommodation information. We look forward to seeing you there.
Please look to the website for staging area information. We hope everyone was able to make
camping or hotel arrangements. As always, If the ride or staging area changes for any reason,
we will provide as much notice as possible.
Please continue to RSVP in the events on the website for every ride. We would like to remind
you that when you RSVP, it is for how many members are in your party. The people count is
critical to ensure that we have enough food for everyone at the BBQ (post ride). We would also
encourage you to bring a side dish to share and provide some variety to our BBQ’s.
The monthly club meeting will be held at the Make-a-Wish Foundation 771 E Winchester St,
Murray Utah, for our annual check presentation. If you cannot be there in person, please
watching live on Facebook. We look forward to seeing everyone.
Please watch the website for our Sponsor of the Month. The Sponsor of the Month will be
offering amazing deals for our Club Members. To take advantage of these deals you will be
required to show your membership card. If you have not received your card, please contact the
Club Secretary to obtain your card.
Ride for Life Committee
Hey y’all. The Ride for Life was a success again this year. Steele has a great time with his Uncle
Brett and his parents. His family showed us how much we helped them by doing this ride. We
are getting closer to our grand total. Make sure you come to the Make A Wish building for the
check presentation on September 13 at 7:00pm or watch it live on the Utah ATV and Ride For
Life Facebook pages.
Thank you to all the riders, our support group, and our committee members for another great
year. We couldn’t do it without any of you. 💗💗

Safety Committee
Hi everyone. Dan here with the safety team, hope everyone is having a great summer.
We just got thru with the annual Ride for Life. it was a great ride this year, we had more
participants this year, than last. Which is a positive sign that things are coming around.
we had a couple machines that needed to be trailered this year. Nothing major, I feel like it was
a successful ride for the safety crew. I just want to thank all my safety crew riders this year
without them I couldn’t have done it. Looking forward to next month’s ride!

it was. Continue to invite others to join the Utah ATV Association and Come Ride with Us!
